![]() Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos is an upcoming Dungeons & Dragons campaign book that will let players have role-playing adventures in one of Magic’s recently-introduced settings. WotC’s senior designer Amanda Hamon will serve as the story lead. The campaign setting won’t be released until Nov. 16, but an official preview will be released on June 8. In Magic lore, Strixhaven is the elite university for mages located in the plane of Arcavios, and it’s the primary setting of the recently released MTG set, Strixhaven: School of Mages. The five colleges of Strixhaven are each associated with a two-color pair: Quandrix (blue/green), Prismari (blue/red), Lorehold (red/white), Silverquill (white/black), and Witherbloom (black/green). Official previews for Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos on June 8 should give us an early look at the new rules for character creation. First of all, Unearthed Arcana in 5e consists of explicitly unofficial test. On that same day, Wizards will also debut the new playtest materials titled Unearthed Arcana: Mages of Strixhaven. Seeing as plane shift is a 7th level spell and cubic gate is a legendary. Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos is the latest in a long line of similar crossover campaign settings. The series started in 2016 with Plane Shift: Zendikar, which was available to download for free. It was followed by other free-to-download campaign books, Plane Shift: Innistrad, Plane Shift: Amonkhet, Plane Shift: Kaladesh, and Planeshift: Ixalan. Wizards started charging for these crossover products in 2018 with Guildmaster’s Guide to Ravnica. Magic: The Gathering is also getting a crossover Dungeons & Dragons set with Adventures in the Forgotten Realms releasing this July. One of the cards recently leaked reveals a new dungeon-inspired mechanic.I love that Wizards of the Coast is finally combining their properties for projects. I like it even more because they're free. Today Plane Shift: Innistrad and Plane Shift: Zendikar have been joined by a new MTG to D&D supplement, Plane Shift: Kaladesh. Kaladesh is a magical plane of artificers and crafters. It is the perfect setting to use the Unearthed Arcana: Artificer in. This Plane Shift discusses how to fit the PHB backgrounds and classes in the setting. It also includes a new sorcerous origin: pyromancer. Being a haven for artificers, there's a new magic item type discussed, Aether-powered devices. There are rules for inventing, manufacturing, buying, and selling these items. Two invention-related feats are also provided. Wander into the magical realm of the Feywild in this month's Unearthed Arcana M.
